Yes you did read that right, we did have a date booked, our deposit on a venue and everything – I even have our stationary still in a box in the loft. But then our first son made an appearance and we cancelled everything deciding to wait a wee while, but then life got in the way and we are still waiting to set the date again.
I did have a dress all sorted with what I wanted and colours etc, but since that time my tastes have changed so I am kind of glad that I don’t have that dress in mind any more.
I really don’t want the whole white wedding dress, that just isn’t for me, unless it is something like this one:
but after two (soon to be three) kids I don’t think my body is any shape for this kind of style, unless I make a start on the insanity fitness program lol
So white isn’t for me, I want to do something different, that deviates from the the traditional but not to wacky for most people to accept. I have been trying to look for the perfect burgundy dress.
This is sort of the style that I am looking for, whilst it may not be to every ones taste at the end of the day it is going to be my wedding and I want something that I am comfortable wearing, and basically a dress that I want, I am paying for it myself after all ;)
It is amazing how hard it is to get a dress like this in the UK, it appears we are still stuck in the boring mind frame of a wedding dress must be white so I am glad that I have discovered DressFirst and bonus they ship to the UK!
I may just have found my perfect Homecoming Dresses after all!
The DressFirst website is so easy to use that I found my burgundy ball gown in seconds using the narrow search function. As soon as I saw the colour options I knew this site was a winner with me :) Not only that you but you can change your currency as well so I am able to see what dresses are in my budget and GBP.
DressFirst has so many wonderful Homecoming Dresses Under 70 for every occasion, and in all honesty there are a lots that I would love to buy! :)
